About the Event

The Figure Skating Diversity and Inclusion Alliance is so proud to launch our Big Skater Little Skater Mentorship Program and have it become accessible to our community. We understand the importance of mentorship and the massive impact it has on our youth which is why this is an initiative we are so passionate about. Having representation and support from a community is invaluable and can make the difference in a skater succeeding and staying in the sport or not. We cannot wait to continue supporting and developing our community with this wonderful mentorship program!

This program will run from December 2021 - December 2022.

Worried about commitment? You, your mentor, and your parent can decide how often you meet/speak. This program is for you and what you need out of your relationship with your mentor.

Worried about the financial commitment? This is a COMPLETELY FREE PROGRAM!

Next steps? We will contact you by December 1st, 2021 to let you know if you have been selected for the BSLS program at this time. We will then match you with a mentor and organize a virtual meeting for everyone to get acquainted!

*Skaters of any age can apply!

*At least four mentor/mentee meetings are required for the duration of the program.

*At this time, the BSLS mentorship program is specifically for BIPOC skaters.

*Some scholarship opportunites may be available.

*We do not coach or provide therapy as part of this mentorship program.
